ईश्वर ने प्रकृति में एक नियम रखा है जिसके अंतर्गत जब कोई चीज़ बिना किसी देखभाल या देखरेख के यूं ही छोड़ दी जाती है तो वह चीज़ बहुत ही जल्दी बिगड़ जाती है या अव्यवस्थित हो जाती है। उदाहरण के लिए अगर किसी बग़ीचे को यूँ ही छोड़ दिया जाए तो वो जल्द ही जंगल के समान बन जायगा। इसीलिए बग़ीचे में एक माली रखा जाता है जिससे बगीचा (उसके फूल, पौधें, क्यारियां, सुदंरता आदि) भली भाँति सुरक्षित रहे। इसी नियम अनुसार अगर ये धरती भी यूँ ही छोड़ दी जाती तो यंहा भी मानव समाज और मानवीय मूल्य आदि पूरी तरह बिखर कर समाप्त हो जाते। पर ईश्वर ने प्रत्येक काल व प्रत्येक स्थान में इन सिद्धांतों को स्थापित रखने के लिए अपने संदेशवाहकों को भेजने का प्रबन्ध किया जिन्हें ईशदूत या संदेष्टा कहते है। क्योंकि ईश्वर न तो दिखाई देता है और न हम से बात करता है इसलिए वह हम में से ही कुछ सर्वोत्तम मनुष्यों को चुनाव करके उनके माध्यम से हमारा मार्गदर्शन करता है। ये मार्गदर्शक हम साधारण मानवों को ईश्वर की आज्ञानुसार जीवन जी कर दिखाते है कि सत्य के मार्ग पर चलना किसी भी मनुष्य के लिए कठिन काम नहीं है। ये सभी महापुरुष हमें धर्म का पाठ पढ़ाते है कि मनुष्य के लिए क्या सही है और क्या बुरा, किन कार्यों से मुक्ति, निर्वाण, मोक्ष, कल्याण या उद्धार है और किन से नहीं। इन ईश्वर के दूतों में से है एक थे पैग़म्बर हज़रत मुहम्मद सल्ल.। जीवन के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में उनके कल्याणकारी कथनों का तात्पर्य कुछ इस प्रकार है:-

मुहम्मद सल्ल. की जीवनी
लगभग 1450 वर्ष पूर्व अरब के मक्का नगर में एक बच्चे का जन्म होता है। बच्चा बचपन में ही अनाथ हो जाता है। पर बच्चे को आरम्भ से ही बहुत विशेष माना जाता है। बच्चा बहुत नेक था और इसलिए यौवन तक पहुँचते पहुँचते वह हर भलाई के काम में आगे रहने लगा। अपने उत्कृष्ट चरित्र के आधार पर शीघ्र ही वह अलसादिक़ (सच्चा) और अलअमीन (अमानतदार, ईमानदार) कहलाने लगा। उस समाज में हर प्रकार की बुराई प्रचलित थी जैसे अन्याय, अत्याचार, लूटपाट, मारकाट, नग्नता, शराब, जुआ, ब्याज, खानदानी दुश्मनीयां, औरतों को भोग विलास की वस्तु समझना, बच्चियों को जीवित दफनाना आदि। लोगों ने प्रत्येक दिन का अपनी इच्छानुसार एक पूज्य बना रखा था जिन्हें रूढ़िवादी कर्मकांडों द्वारा पूजा जाता था।
समाज की इस दशा को देख कर दुखी होने के बाद, वह महात्मा गुफा में ध्यान अवस्था में लीन रहने लगे। एक रात उनके पास ईश्वर का फ़रिश्ता (देवता दूत) ईश्वर की तरह से संदेश लेकर आया कि ईश्वर ने तुम्हें लोगों के उद्धार के लिए चुना है और अब तुम लोगों का मार्गदर्शन करोगे। ईश्वर की छत्रछाया में वह लोगों तक सत्य और ईश्वर का संदेश पहुँचाने लगे। उन्होंने लोगों को समझाना शुरू किया कि हम सबको बनाने वाले ईश्वर की आज्ञा अनुसार जीवन जीयो, सभी मनुष्य एक जोड़े की संतान है, अमीर ग़रीब सब इंसान है, गोरे और काले सब समान है, ऊंच नीच अन्याय है, औरत और मर्द बराबर है, सबको सम्मान से जीने का अधिकार है और सत्कर्मों के आधार पर मनुष्य बढ़ा बनता है आदि।
ये सब शिक्षाएं, उन लोगों के वर्चस्व के विरुद्ध थी जो पीढ़ियों से वंहा स्वार्थी व्यवस्था चला रहे थे और कमज़ोरों का खून चूस रहे थे। ये लोग उस महात्मा और उनके अनुयायियों के पीछे हाथ धो कर पड़ गए। उनको यातनाएं दी गई, षड्यंत्र रचे गए, जानलेवा हमले किये गए। यहाँ तक कि उन पर कई बार युद्ध भी थोप दिया गया। मजबूरन उनके अनुयायियों को हथियार उठा कर आत्मरक्षा करनी पड़ी। पर फिर भी वह महामानव अपना काम करते रहे और अगले 23 साल में उनके लगभग सवा लाख सत्संगी (सहयोगी) और लाखों लोग अनुयायी बन गए। अंत में पूरे अरब के लोग उनके अनुयायी बन चुके थे। दुनिया में आज ये संख्या लगभग दो अरब है। अमीर अपनी बचत का 2.5% अनिवार्य दान गरीबों को देने लगे। औरतों को वसीयत और मेहर जैसे अधिकार मिले। कमज़ोरों को वज़ीफ़े मिलने लगे। देखते ही देखते शांति का प्रसार होने लगा और अंततः सभी बुराइयों का अंत हो गया। लोग ईश्वर के दिये सिद्धान्तों पर जीवन व्यापन करने लगे।
इतनी सफलता के बाद भी उस व्यक्ति ने अपना जीवन बड़े ही साधारण ढंग से जीया। उन्होंने कभी किसी दिन दो वक्त का खाना पेट भर कर नहीं खाया। अपने अंतिम समय में उनके कपड़ो पर अनगिनत जोड़ (पैबंद) लगे हुए थे। मृत्यु के समय उनके घर के दीये में तेल तक नहीं था और यंहा तक कि उन पर कुछ ऋण भी बकाया था।
उस महान व्यक्ति का नाम हज़रत मुहम्मद सल्ल. था। उन्होंने यही शिक्षा दी कि हमारा मालिक केवल एक निराकार ईश्वर है और अच्छे कर्मों के आधार पर मृत्यु पश्चात हमारे लिए स्वर्ग और नर्क का जीवन प्रतीक्षा कर रहा है। उन्होंने बताया कि ईश्वर के भेजे गए सभी मार्गदर्शक (संदेशवाहक, ईशदूत, संदेष्टा) सच्चे थे और उनकी शिक्षाएं मानव जाति के लिए कल्याणकारी थी। उन्होंने ये भी बताया कि वह कोई नया धर्म लेकर नहीं आये है बल्कि वही सनातन धर्म (दीने कय्यिम) लेके आये है जिसे दुनिया के आरंभ में दिया गया था और जिसे संसार के प्रथम मनुष्य ले कर आये थे। उनके बाद मानव जाति के मार्गदर्शन के लिए प्रत्येक काल व प्रत्येक स्थान में ऐसे ही बहुत से संदेशवाहक लगातार आते रहे जो वंही की स्थानीय भाषा में ईश्वर की वाणी लाते थे ताकि लोग संदेश को आसानी से समझ सकें। ईश्वर के मूल संदेश में बिगाड़ या मिलावट आने पर ऐसे संदेशवाहक उसको पुनर्स्थापित करने के लिए आते थे। उन सभी का संदेश सैदव एक समान ही होता था जिसे धर्म (दीन) कहा जाता है।
सबसे पहले ईश्वर ने भारत की धरती पर ही सत (सत्य) का संदेश दिया और मानवता यंहा से शुरू हुई। इसीलिए भारत की धरती सभी मनुष्यों के लिए पूण्य (पवित्र) भूमि है। हज़रत आदम (स्वयम्भू मनु) को प्रथम ईश्वदूत बनाकर भारत की धरती पर भेजा गया था जिन्होंने बाद में मक्का में जाकर ईश्वर की उपासना के लिए क़ाबा का निमार्ण किया। फिर भारत में ही हज़रत नूह (वैवस्वत मनु) को ईशदूत बनाकर भेजा गया। ऐसे ही अन्य ईश्वदूत जैसे अब्राहम, मोज़ेज़, जीसस आदि दुनिया भर में कोने कोने में समय समय पर आते रहे जो अपने समुदाय व क्षेत्र के लिए वही समान सदेंश लाते थे। अंतिम ईशदूत मुहम्मद साहब अरब में आये जो पूरे विश्व के लिए संदेश लाये थे। हम सभी ईश्वदूतों का आदर और अनुसरण करते है। हम विभिन्न धर्मों के महापुरुषों का भी सम्मान करते है और उनकी कल्याणकारी शिक्षाओं पर भी चलने का प्रत्यन करते है जैसे श्रीराम, श्रीकृष्ण, ज़रथुरष्ट, गौतम बुद्ध, महावीर स्वामी और गुरु नानक साहब आदि। सभी समाजसुधारक हमारें लिए प्रेणना और आदर्श है।
पैग़म्बर मुहम्मद साहब को क़ुरान में ईश्वर ने रहमतुलिल आलीमीन कहा है अर्थात सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि के लिए करुणा। इसलिए पैगम्बर मुहम्मद साहब के जन्मदिन (जयंती) 12 रबीउलअव्वल को यौमे रहमत या करुणा दिवस या Compassion Day कहा जाता है। पूरे वर्ष के साथ साथ, इस दिन (19th October, 2021) विशेष रूप से करुणा का कोई भी एक कार्य करने का अवश्य प्रयास करें।

अरब में बच्चा पैदा हुआ. चारों ओर जहालत. बच्ची और स्त्रियों की हालत. बाप दादओं के ज़माने से दुश्मनियाँ. माँ बाप की मृत्यु, चाचा की भी मृत्यु. सादिक और अमीन लकब. खानदानो में होती हुई लड़ाई संगे/हजरे अस्वद का विवाद का हल आपके हाथों में दे दिया. हल्फुल/हिल्फुल (दोनों नाम सही) फजूल में भागी जिसका मक़सद किसी पर अत्याचार नहीं होने देंगे, हक़ नहीं मारने देंगे. कहा था दुबारा बने तो शामिल होंगा, मुस्लिम तो खुद एक तंजीम थे, यह गैर मुस्लिम की तंजीम की ओर ईशारा था. एकांत में बैठना शुरु हुआ. वाणी आई तो नमाज़, हज, रोज़ा बाद में आदेश आया. अत्याचार, अनाथों, बच्चियों के लिए आदेश आये. उसे दौलत, औरत, शोहरत, बादशाही सभी प्रलोभन दिए गए, मगर उसने नहीं माने. ऐसी शिक्षाएं दी जो वंहा की सारी समस्याओं को हल कर सके. आज की सरकारों से ज़्यादा गरीबी रेखा निर्धारित करी. बेटी की परवरिश पर जन्नत की बात कही. एक आदमी मक्का के बाहर बैठ कर आने जाने वालो को कहता था की फला मेरी बेटी उठा लाया है, नबी को टकराया, नबी ने उसके घर जा कर सिर्फ यही कहा कि इसकी बेटी वापिस करो और उसने डर के कर दी. महापुरूषों की बात में रौब होता है और हिल्फुल फ़िज़ूल के मेम्बेर भी थे.
पडोसी को खाना दो, ईमान जाता रहा, उनसे बड़ा किसका फतवा, 40 घरों को पड़ोस करार दिया. इसमें मुस्लिम, गैर मुस्लिम की शर्त नहीं लगाई. वो खुद क्यों मांगे, उसकी self respect क्यों hurt हो, आपको ध्यान रखना था.
